  2. Half the population doesn't bother to vote anyway. Unless crazy people all vote the same, I don't see a threat to democracy from the votes of a relative handful of nuts. You don't have to pass a law for a town's responsible citizenry to refuse to sell a weapon to a known crazy. Again, the numbers are so small as to be virtually negligible. There's this funny idea floating around aimlessly that "lives matter"! hahaha...Meaning is dependent on context--sure, you think your life matters. But Mother Nature has a different opinion! Hmm...so who's right?!
