  1. Power == Competence. Power is the capacity to do work. It's often confused with "strength", the ability to withstand stress. "Admiration" is the most powerful emotion I'm familiar with. Both admiration and disgust are wasted on power. Why attach yourself emotionally to a particular perspective on "power"? Once attached, you're biased; is that useful?! It CAN be useful to be emotional; but I haven't found that to be the usual case.
