  1. US foreign aid totals 50 billion annually--peanuts, for favors. Forget about it; it's not worth talking about. It's a cost of doing business in the world. Get over it...it's a waste of my time.

  2. The good thing about the old style politics: you started at the bottom (local govt) and gradually advanced to the top, along the way becoming "properly" corrupt, that is, seeking money. In the new politics, you jump from bartender to US Congress, in a single leap, and, in the process, not learning to be properly corrupt. Instead, the new corruptions can run the gamut from the financial to the terroristic. The new corruption is unpredictable, where the old corruption was comfortable. Secular corruption unites!
