  1. So, eh, what would be "high-brow politics"? I mean, if you're going to posit the existence of a "low-brow politics" you have to account for its complement, "high-brow politics". It's never seemed the case to me that politics has a dual nature; it always seemed singularly stinky, a carnival of the absurd...a monolithic entity.
