  1. When you flesh out your conception of "spiritual hierarchy", you find the need to conceive the lowest level agents of that spiritual hierarchy. Demon rankings, for instance, express hierarchical organization of the underlying fabric of reality. The "demon" heads are not just sons of bitches goin' about making trouble, or something. No, they have designated functions, roles to play in the organization that supports/precipitates existence, itself. It's important, though, to remember that these conceptions we form are just the clothing we drape over the invisible/inscrutable form of an organization whose reality is actually quite IMPOSSIBLE for us to conceive accurately.
