I am...uh, structurally...inimical to the politics of social influence. I understand why people do it, and don't disagree, exactly; I mean, it's a vehicle of interaction...if you're not influencing others, what ARE you doing with them?! It's just that, innately, I don't want to become entangled in people/matters I'm not interested in...it can be a LOT worse than a waste of time. People kill each because they don't like them! If we never meet, that ain't happenin' to ME! I've been around a while...some people are "users" of other people...it's these people I most seek to avoid. I have no need to be used.
