  1. I don't believe this censorship thrust is organic; I think it's politically derived and propagated. New competitors to the likes of patreon, youtube, etc. are entering the market in a different political context than had youtube, etc: they are having to address this issue from the get-go, instead of "growing" into it as youtube, etc. have had to. They should, then, be more competent in accommodating censorship concerns.
