  1. So...conceptions of heaven and hell are political expedients?? Eh, I've no doubt such conceptions have political value; I just doubt that political power was the impetus to such conceptions. I should thing such conceptions originated with ancient dreamers and shaman, and are representations of a peculiarly human perspective that have endured for that very reason.
