  1. We'll see if the scientific community comes to his defense, since this attack on him is tantamount to an attack on "science" itself. But the scientific community has its share of dullards, as does any community (outside of MENSA, one might object). Eventually, the scientific community must reclaim the peer review process from the publishers, who are largely politically compromised, if they are to recapture their more sterling reputations, and arrest their current fall into disrepute.

Thanks for making the point: bigotry is about treating individuals according to the characteristics of the class to which they may be assigned, instead of as individuals, because you can't know whether a given individual is a greater or lesser example of their apparent group identification. Is Watson going down fighting? He has the capacity to lambaste his ignorant critics! It's up to him to do it, or not. The relationship of intelligence to ethnicity is a critical element of the understanding of culture. IQ is NOT a trivial metric. Certain "cultural styles" are simply not available to peoples of insufficient IQ. This is also why CERTAIN cultures cannot coexist together. Multiculturalism? An oxymoron. It's simply not in the nature of culture to be multi. hehehe...King Missile: "I want to be with others who are unique, like me."
