  2. Cognitive decline tends to progress...uh, exponentially: it starts out slow, mostly unnoticeable, then more and more quickly it progresses to a sort of critical mass, where the deficiency becomes disabling. THAT CAN happen overnight! Things could get really wild!

  3. EVERYBODY has moments of confusion/failures of articularion! The fewer such moments you have the more effective a communicator you can be. But failures of memory, and failures of verbal control, are a different matter, and indicate cognitive decline. He would be an unwise choice for president.
