Styx's take is a little off here: Barr only has to "audit"--ISO style--the FBI: what administrative procedures are in place to monitor all activities; are they sufficient; how do you guarantee adherence to these procedures; and prove it--show the paper trail. Where the FBI has failed to follow their own procedures, the agent responsible can be..."displaced"...draining the swamp. It doesn't matter so much who was responsible for what as it does that they can be removed. I really think Trump is more interested in getting the job done than in looking good (or making others look bad) doing it.
