It'll save you from the evils of CERTAINTY, of overconfidence. It may lack dramatic flair, though..."Doubt" is less "exciting" than stamping your feet in a paroxysm of rage at the truthlessness you've diligently identified in the world.

Sacrificing freedom for perceived security is considered a bad idea by smart people for a good reason. But, you are right, Tim, if you don't take this seriously, you might get sick, and even DIE. Then where are ya?! If only you had taken it seriously; then, you might have lived...forever...or at least longer...by some cosmically infinitesimal amount of time. All you had to do to guarantee your additional microsecond of cosmic time was sacrifice all quality of life...helluva deal..."What the hell were you thinkin'?"...
