@KickBAc3 The UNCLOS has no jurisdiction over territory disputes. EEZ does not define the ownership of any maritime features (islands, rocks and low-tide elevations).

@KickBAc3 When China claimed sovereignty over those reefs, Philippines was still not a country. Moreover, Spain or the US, which colonized the Philippines at that time, also had never claimed sovereignty over those reefs.

@BatAskal China did not take part in this arbitration which is just a one-sided story. The ruling is non-binding and has no jurisdiction for any territory dispute.

@mah7961 Singapore being next to Malaysia coastline does not automatically make it part of Malaysia territory. And how far is Hawaii and Guan from the US coastline? Distance from coastline is not a factor in terms of sovereignty.

@BatAskal The US builds military bases in Philippines as its launching pad for its own selfish interests. Who will suffer the most when a war broke out between the US and China? Americans will not die for Philippines for sure.

@mah7961 I just state the fact.
