  1. We're a nation of sheep manipulated by the press and the government. Our perception of reality beyond our direct experience of life is skewed by what we read and hear. Styx's solution, unfortunately, won't work for anyone except his fellow journalists who care enough to get to the facts. Who in his daily life has time to do the hours of research he recommends? On the other hand, his call to doubt, to question the propaganda, is important. If more people did that, we'd have a better country, if not a better world. Which brings us back to Styx, Southern, Goodman and the rest of the YouTube journalists. Since people often cannot do the hours of research necessary, it's a fortunate thing we have access to people like the above who can.
