After what GM did to Detroit, I'm not sure what to think of this. I see their ivory tower still rests in downtown while most of the suburbs are in shambles. That was bad management on the part of the company, not just the unions. Wagoner wasn't forced out of GM for no reason. He walked away with pension and benefits worth well into 6 figures, maybe more, as rank & file employees were asked to do givebacks.
