It would be deeply gratifying to see her take a drubbing in November at the hands of Donald Trump, but I would not consider that as an adequate outcome. She is cold, calculating, grasping and greedy, but that's only part of the problem. She and her husband are corrupt to the core. She, moreover, is evidently guilty of crimes against the country that she committed out of arrogance and avarice. This calls for justice, and justice ought to be swift. The Democratic Nominating Convention will be in seven weeks. We hear that the FBI is in the final stages of its investigation and that at any moment it will make its recommendation, presumably, for an indictment. Whether the DOJ prosecutes, or not, at that point she's finished as a viable candidate, and the Democrats are stuck with the problem of who to choose to replace her. She for her part will find herself in court as a defendant and will be convicted. I doubt we'll see her in an orange prison suit, but with any luck we won't see her at all. She'll disappear into obscurity along with her loving husband.
