  2. It's been pointed out that neither Trump, Sessions nor Rosenstein need to ax Mueller. A lower-level official in the Department of Justice could do the deed. I think Trump is making a mistake not getting rid of the guy and shutting this nonsense down before it goes further. The only good that can come from it would be more evidence of Obama era corruption, which apparently is starting to surface while they struggle to get the non-existent goods on Donald Trump. Maybe the president thinks that'll be the payoff. But at what cost? If, as has been speculated, they indict Manafort and Flynn and coerce them Soviet-style to turn state's evidence against the president, what then? As it is, we're in the same situation we were when the president won: It's Trump against the entire Washington Establishment, which is doing all it can to preserve its power and privileges at the expense of the American People by bringing him down or neutralizing his presidency. I'm coming to the conclusion that the 2018 elections will be even more significant than his victory last year. If he succeeds in getting a significant number of Establishment politicians voted out of office, he'll have a shot at moving his agenda forward rapidly before the 2020 elections. If not, all bets are off.
