  1. Atlas entered service in 2014. How has it taken this long to fulfill the C-130 role ? They knew C-130 would have to retire soon so they should have been testing Atlas can do the same or similar all this time in preparation for it

  3.  @RJM1011  because old planes eventually start costing more to operate than new planes. The Atlas probably can do the same stuff as the Atlas it’s just not been tested or used for that purpose yet whilst the Herc was in service.
