@Mellowyellow8888 Thank god you aren't an epidemiologist. You need to look at death rates as a percentage of infections. THIS HAS A DEATH RATE OF 2%. 2% of China is 29 MILLION PEOPLE. This is compares to the flu death rate of 0.095%. It's 21x more deadly the the flu. China quarantined 50 million people. They shutdown their WHOLE COUNTRY for another week after lunar new year. And you think its over a simple flu. Use your common sense.

@breanajohnson7311 <800 people have died according to the Chinese government, but the Chinese government is flat lying to prevent widespread panic. The actual number is probably closer to 10K. Reported cases are under 30K, but definitely are over 100K. The key to understanding the severity of this outbreak is the actions, not words of the Chinese government. Nearly 400M people are in lockdown in their respective cities.
