  1. The irony is Xi could have stopped the bubble, but miscalculated. He wanted to lock up his 3rd term (lifetime) appointment instead of putting the hammer on real estate in the mid-2010s. The guy hasn't made a correct decision yet. Now, anyone with real estate has lost 30-70% of their wealth in 2 years. People are struggling to find good jobs. At some point, people don't have anything more to lose.
