Carlson's populism shows how it can be used badly. Seek out the scared old white men, figure out what triggers them, disregard any rigorous journalism on it, report that. Result: Large audience.

3.5 million viewers, if that's an accurate count, is a pretty big deal. Plus, his viewers are that marginalized crowd that yells the loudest.

@Xilir2009 Tucker provides no opposite side to any argument. His points are unsupported conjecture. That's why he gets dunked on every time he tries to sit down and debate with rational people. His arguments are not "the opposite." They're not arguments at all. Besides, he never brought anyone worthy of debating for any of the actual issues he occasionally addressed. Because he knew he'd get bodied. Remove his teleprompter, which his staff of writers painstakingly created, and he flounders.
