@jesipohl6717 This does not make them "rightwing cucks." (Nice touch adding an umlaut.) Ana would have done well to keep her mouth shut about her opinion on the matter of the now-nuance of addressing someone who can have children, this whole "what is a woman" response to something the right has hijacked in its effort to create a cultural war rather than address more pressing issues in our society. My impression is that Cenk (especially) doesn't want his business model to be hijacked by the opposite extreme. I can see the tightrope act involved in it. But, yeah, Ana didn't need to make herself (intentionally or not) some spokesperson for putting one's foot down.
I was recently hired into a new job. Part of the on-boarding process asked how I wish to be addressed. It also had a "chooses not to answer" option. While I understand the need to elevate our society to back up its tenet to include all people, I do not wish to be included in this new "option" of how one should be addressed, directed specifically at me.
But I'm not going to get on Twitter and rage-tweet like Ana did. I can see her point, but that had a lot of ego. Not knowing the full story, I am sorry their LGBTQ+ employees felt uncomfortable and left. And, yes, I watched The Humanist Report.
I do wonder if TYT is going to backpedal on this. Apologize. They have mentioned how much anti-trans legislation has exploded over the past couple of years, like it's some new issue that suddenly popped up in 2020.
So, now is Jimmy Dore gonna get on air and make this all about him, too? (That wasn't directed at you; I'm just musing about what sort of "told you so" former TYT hosts will take advantage of this to ego-rage in return.)
