@sallyj4209 We've both held prisoners from each other's countries for decades. And limited commercial flight options and overland routes by car and bus to Russia are still open and available, according to the State Department. Travel there at your own risk.

@sallyj4209 That's not the point. One can still travel to Russia. If we start bargaining and exchanging prisoners, you know Russia will find ways to detain US citizens as bargaining chips. Brittney Griner had to know Russia's laws. Regardless, I feel for her. However, I think she'll have to take one for the team (no pun intended). We don't want to play these games with Russia. And the State Department should block all travel to Russia. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure there are business interests happening between the two countries. Ever watch "The Courier"? Great movie.

@sallyj4209 What are you even saying? You mentioned a cold war in the first place. I'm showing an example that's even more extreme and people still could visit Russia. I don't even know what you're trying to get at. Most rich businessmen can easily travel to Russia right here and now. If it's just a matter of price, that's no problem for a number of entities. I'm not making this up. It's just a fact. I don't control the State Department. It's just a fact that people can still travel to Russia. And I recommend that they don't. Not while Putin is in charge. Why are you trying to make this into something else? You first said no one can travel there because Biden has somehow created a cold war with Russia. Again, people can still travel to Russia, and they should not. This holds especially true if we start playing prisoner exchanges with Russia. International Policy 101. I don't know why you have issue with this fact. Slow day?

@sallyj4209 All that writing to prove you didn't watch the video. They're talking about exchanging prisoners between the US and Russia. I never said she was innocent. You seem to think she's a drug trafficker. You do know that marijuana is legal in 37 states, right? I don't think she was going there to distribute, and you have no proof she was. That's not the point. She broke their law. She's going to pay the price. We shouldn't set up an exchange because that could cause a precedent where Russia could arbitrarily just arrest US citizens and invent reasons why, so they can exchange them for more Russian criminals in our custody. Why is this so hard for you to understand. You write a lot for a troll. Most trolls use less words to sound dumb. You also need to work on your gaslighting. You shouldn't make claims and then later deny them in the same thread. It makes calling you out too easy.

Either she tried to sneak her stash across customs or simply didn't know, because marijuana/hash is so ubiquitous anymore. Have you actually read or sung the National Anthem in its entirety? It defends enslavement of African Americans. Francis Scott Key even put up an add for an escaped slave, paying additional money for the number of lashes the returned slave received from the captor. Having issue with that means being nonpatriotic? How about a new national anthem?
