  3.  @volauron  I didn't see that in any definition. Even if the host does develop antibodies, protection might not be adequate; immunity might develop too slowly to be effective in time, the antibodies might not disable the pathogen completely, or there might be multiple strains of the pathogen, not all of which are equally susceptible to the immune reaction. However, even a partial, late, or weak immunity, such as a one resulting from cross-immunity to a strain other than the target strain, may mitigate an infection, resulting in a lower mortality rate, lower morbidity, and faster recovery.

  4.  @Genin99  For me, it's hard to boycott something I never was interested in. The same with Chick Fil-A and Slobby Hobby Lobby. I don't frequent any of them, so have no voice to be heard, except maybe that they lost a potential customer. Still, it's refreshing to see strength in numbers. I'm a big union fan.

Depends on the definition: a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease. It doesn't follow the typical attenuated virus, if that's what you mean, rather messes with mRNA, yes. That was the one fear I had about it, but I imagine this is a threshold moment just like with when "conventional" vaccines were first introduced.
