Examples: Maid sama. Why's that? Also, lots of Japanese magazines feature white caucasians as advertisement material. There are also skin whitening products in Japan, why does that exist? It's obvious why....

Live action dragon ball, Live action ghost in the shell, Edge of tomorrow (live action adaption of manga "All you need is kill"), L.A Death note. None of them had any legit Japanese actors playing them...you know why? Characters having to look exactly like what they're based on isn't really important.... Aight, okay, even if we give a pass to fmab for the excuses you brought up, there are still countless number of anime that are Caucasian-looking for no good reason.

An average Japanese man dresses more fashionably than a stereotypically fashionable-looking woman from ANY country! Brown eyes-black hair aren't inherently the problem here. Lazy character designs coupled with an embarrassingly high level of fascination for the Scandinavian look(to be specific, cuz most westerners don't have blonde hair and blue eyes) to the point that you hate your natural look is the real culprit here.

  9.  EveLang1  Well I feel the same. I feel naturally more attracted to Asian looks and facial features and dressing styles, etc, but a lotta people look at me weirdly for that haha. It's just so weird how some people can look down on Asian looks despite consuming their cultural exports.

Anyways, I guess this discussion is over cuz you've acknowledged that anime isn't representative of Japanese people and my reasons (from my observations) for why this is the case are: Japanese's lack of self-love or self-esteem and extreme embarrassing fascination for Scandinavian looks.
