Wait, you are a Porsche fan so of course you will pick the Porsche, even after testing both. Your "opinion" of the car is based on two items which can be changed/removed.  YOU are the on who is embarrassing yourself, the Porsche is a sports car, not a luxury car.

It drives wonderfully, you barely feel the road and with all of the available features on it, none of its competitors can match its level of luxury. Sure, this car isn't that good performance wise but that's not what this car is for. This car if pure luxury.

What is your problem with people liking it? Yes, I struggle to understand the basis of your opinion. Please explain, why is it "tacky" in your opinion.

  23. Petar Stankovic The Porsche is faster, more of a drivers car, whereas the S Class is more of a luxury car. The S Class has more legroom, headroom, both with 2 rear seats and 3 rear seats, its got more finer, and smoother leather, it's got a sound system which has been upgraded from the Panamera, smoother ride e.t.c as well as being crowned luxury car of the year.

  24. Burmester upgraded that stereo for the S Class and it's also 1540 watts. The burmester low is free and is better than the free panamera system. The Porsche has standard leather while the Mercedes has nappa leather then exclusive designo. The S Class sedan is the competitor to the Panamera. If I wanted a fast car I can use for my family I'd get a panamera or model s but I wanted pure luxury so the s class it is. I also hope the s class convertible is hard top as I've reserved a place.

  28. Its because the S Class and the S Coupe cost a lot more in the UK. It cost me $130,000 dollars to buy a S350 in the UK. That could have bought me a S63 in America after discounts.
