@nws9517 At the inception of the State, Jewish communities in the Arab world were targeted by locals, and hundreds of thousands of our ppl were pushed out and running for their lives. Needless to say, they left behind millions in money and assets. Same approach as Germany. The majority of them came to Israel, some went elsewhere, but if you look at the Arab world now, it's devoid of Jews. But it was precisely in the Arab countries where Jews settled first and foremost after the dispersion. It's also true that part of them came voluntarily, wanting to live in their own state, but most were expelled.

@supergroovy8346 Israel urged them to stay and build the country together and those who did are now citizens. Those who listened to their leaders left. It was their choice.

@scepticsquirrel There is a state w/definite borders, Jordan. The West Bank Arabs are Jordanians. Jordan ceded this land to us in the 1990s except they forgot to repatriate the ppl. Now giving them a state of their own is untenable for many reasons. We tried this experiment w/Gaza creating them a state and look what happened. Some Israelis believed in this possiblity before Oct 7 but even they are now on the other side of the fence. It looks like the only way is to annex all the lands, incorporate them into Israel, and either give those ppl a citizenship or another type of residency providing everything they need, which is what we're doing already, and let them decide what they want to do.

Sure, sure, bring all those professional victims here, so they can overrun us, and that will be the "peaceful" end to Israel. That's what they want. They can't fight w/us b/c they're impotent, but they can surely overwhelm by numbers alone, the very thing they're doing in Europe and other kind-hearted nations which opened their doors to them. Gee, don't even pose this ridiculous question. Refugees after 3 generations, yeah right.

@Smilefortheworld The Arab governments resisted the creation of Israel, even the partition itself, and after the establishment of the State, they embarked on a war, They adopted a series of discriminatory laws against the Jewish residents of their countries, incited the masses, plus wanted their money and assets, the usual greed. The money, as they declared, would be used to fight the Zionist entity. There are many resources available on the subject.

@nws9517 Jewish refugees were from everywhere in the post war Europe, mainly the holocaust survivors. There were refugees from the Middle Eastern/Arab countries who were expelled once Israel came into being

@scepticsquirrel Apparently the Gaza experiment went awry. Of course, after taking power Hama$ turned the land into a launchpad of war, and b/c Sharon, in his senility or corruption, relinquished control, there was nothing we could do to stop it. And it happened precisely b/c the land was no longer under our control. W/the land being in our possession, we can implement policies that would serve our interests w/o any international involvement, and that would include facilitating emigration of those who are unwilling to live in peace w/us or simply wanting to leave for other reasons. It's harder in mixed towns, you're right about that, b/c those ppl are citizens, but those from the Administered Zones would have to apply for a citizenship if such an option were to be given, and their applications could be denied.
