Perhaps think of it in terms of the individual critical-thinking mind.....as opposed to the deliberately LESS thinking hive/conformist mind (ants vs the possibilities of man)......or the individualist mind simply 'complementing' the rest (I'm a left hander who has no desire to be a majority but does see worth in a complementary diversity of thought).

  2. If you (over) focus on groups/tribes you are easily (and deliberately) distracted to NOT look at individuality and individual merit instead.
