@alexhuevera939 Like wars didn't happen under Trump. And in fact, Trump massively escalated the country’s existing wars in multiple theaters, leading to skyrocketing casualties. In Afghanistan, he substantially upped the amount of airstrikes, leading to a 330 percent increase in civilian deaths. In Yemen, he escalated both U.S. counterterrorism activities and support for the devastating Saudi-led war against the Houthis. According to the United Kingdom’s Bureau of Investigative Journalism, there were 2,243 drone strikes in just the first two years of Trump’s presidency, compared with 1,878 in the entire eight years of the Obama administration.
And then there's Iran. In 2018, Trump withdrew from a working nonproliferation agreement with Iran, resulting in Iran scaling up both its provocative activities in the region and its nuclear program. According to current U.S. assessments, Iran could now make enough fissile for one nuclear bomb in under two weeks, should it decide to do so. Under the agreement Trump abandoned, it would’ve taken Iran at least a year.
Trump was and never will be "Mr. World Peace." Quite the opposite.

Global Health Security and Biodefense was disbanded under Trump. A lot could be said about that if you put your conspiracy tin foil hat on; but strictly speaking on facts, he was not only unprepared, his hubris led to the entire country being blindsided. Trump thinks if you tell a lie often enough it becomes true. Instead of listening to warnings from public health experts, Trump praised the Chinese government's response and mindlessly parroted their propaganda — failing to prepare America to deal with the virus. He deferred to Xi Jingping and his propaganda, because he's an idiot that loves dictators. Trump bungled testing, leaving us with persistent shortages and delays. And, Trump inexcusably failed to get protective equipment to the heroes on the front lines of this fight, opting to side with corporate lobbyists instead of heeding Biden's call to fully invoke the Defense Production Act to mobilize our economy to fight the virus.
It may never be known how many thousands of deaths, or millions of infections, might have been prevented with a response that was more coherent, urgent and effective. He refused to take the threat seriously, repeatedly claiming that it would simply "disappear."
This man is a disaster on a good day, during an emergency he's a walking apocalypse.

@Ornelas11B Gun homicide rates were notably low—three or fewer deaths per 100,000 people—in three large cities: San Diego, CA; San Jose, CA; and New York, NY. <--- oh look, blue cities in blue states. Here it is again: The average gun homicide rate in blue-state cities was 7.2 per 100,000 residents from 2015 to 2022, the analysis found. In red-state cities, it was 11.1 deaths per 100,000. Cities don't have much control over gun laws. Like this case involving Chicago which is in a RED STATE, "Initially, the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit had upheld a Chicago ordinance banning the possession of handguns as well as other gun regulations affecting rifles and shotguns . . . " The Supreme Court said otherwise.
And then of course there's this: "A federal judge on Monday overturned Chicago’s ban on the sale and transfer of firearms, ruling that the city’s ordinances aimed at reducing gun violence are unconstitutional."
These are facts anyone can look up. Even you.

@Ornelas11B "The most rural counties had a 37% higher rate of firearm deaths than the most urban counties from 2011 to 2020, an analysis found." OH NOS! FACTS!
By the numbers: The average gun homicide rate in blue-state cities was 7.2 per 100,000 residents from 2015 to 2022, the analysis found. In red-state cities, it was 11.1 deaths per 100,000.
