And this: "One video filmed by a local council member on April 1 shows multiple bodies scattered along Yablonska Street in Bucha. Satellite images provided to The Times by Maxar Technologies show that at least 11 of those had been on the street since March 11, when Russia, by its own account, occupied the town."

  13.  @lumm71  I think people who hate gays and believe it should be illegal, people who believe they belong to a superior race, people who believe only one particular religion should be followed, people who are misogynistic, people who are intolerant and narrow minded . . . these people would WELCOME being ruled by an autocrat. As long as that autocrat believes the way they do, of course. Putin is no friend of freedom of religion, or homosexuality, or free speech. Living in such an environment would ensure their sensibilities aren't accosted by what they find offensive. They would love to be under Putin's thumb because they're already there. And as much as these people talk about "cancel culture" and how abhorrent they find political correctness, these individuals would like nothing better than to force everyone else to speak, worship, and live they way they believe. They want to erase everything they don't agree with and find offensive. These people find autocracies appealing, as long as the autocrat reflects their own values. For many, Putin is that guy.
