  3. Hierarchy are rarely based on competency. It's most of the times based on birth, class and lack of morals. The greediest sharks get to the top in a hierarchy system. Most of the times, those at the top are psychopaths. People with empathy/morals don't want to crush others in order to elevate themselves. Hierarchy based systems where the "comepetents" rise to the top are the wet dream of capitalists, but it's only that : a dream.
