When people spout the comment “they’ve been fighting each other for thousands of years” they don’t realize they are unwittingly spreading a minimization narrative designed specifically to try to shut down any dialogue over the subject of an illegal occupation since 1948, benefitting Israeli propagandists and their ongoing illegal occupation and their illegal national existence. This kind of dismissive narrative allows for the continuation of the Israeli genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and Gaza.
