This story reminds me of the famous Lykov family. Not nearly as cold, but still so, so remote, so far away from civilization and for so long that they had no idea World War II had started and ended years ago, before they were found by Russian cartographers and land surveyors who broke the news to them. I believe one of the daughters may still be alive.
