  1. Palestinians have always had the absolute right to defend themselves and their land, by whatever means necessary. This is a basic human right. And Israel can not claim “self-defence” against the 2.3 million hostages they keep trapped inside the fence around Gaza. You cannot claim self-defence against your prisoners. That is an absurd claim to make. Imagine someone like Paul Bernardo making that same claim against his two captives.
