  1. Everything about the plane (high speed, no spoilers, no extended flaps, no reverse thrusters, and no landing gear) could possibly suggest the pilots were attempting a second go-around, but may not have been able to develop V1, the critical minimum take off speed.

One possible scenario is the pilots were attempting a SECOND go-around but couldn’t attain V1 on their one good engine, hence the belly flop without landing gear and the unusually high speed for what appeared to be a landing. No flaps, no spoilers. High speed and no landing gear. They were trying to take off, not land
