  1. It is 8 dead, NOT including the gunman. Typically, the shooter is not mentioned or included in the death toll. Personally, I think the name and identity of these mass shooters should be dealt with in the same way; completely stricken from the record, never mentioned again, including the destruction of all remaining certificates of birth, marriage, death, high school diplomas, insurance records, title deeds, etc. Completely remove them from memory and from existence
