  1. It was shot down by NORAD, not by the US or by Canada, using Canadian and US jets under orders from Trudeau. NORAD is run by a US general, and a Canadian Luitenant General. The two countries are intertwined here.

  5. NORAD scrambled two US and two Canadian fighter jets to the scene, which happened to be over a Canadian territory. As it turns out the US jets are stationed closer to Yukon Territory than the Canadian jets, located at Canadian AFB in Cold Lake, Alberta, so the US jets just so happened to arrive first. That is the only reason the object was shot down by US planes and not by Canadian planes .
