  14. Ontario’s Premier, Doug Ford, has been systematically and ever so slowly cutting funding for our healthcare system, OHIP. This is his way of breaking the public system by a thousand cuts in order to eventually offer the second option of an improved and seemingly superior system of privatized health care. But this would only be affordable to the super wealthy, while everyone else stays on a crippled public system. The introduction of a secondary system however would mean siphoning off the finite number of doctors, nurses and other health care professionals and technicians, leading to even longer wait times than we currently have.
