  2. That’s it. Focus on what ‘could’ have happened, not on reality and what actually DID happen. There was no violence. One guy carried a Confederate flag and another guy used swear words. So, the entire movement is misogynist and racist thugs ready to overthrow the government. This was the conventional wisdom at the time. And it made for some pretty sensational news reports. woopee
