  3. There’s no reason this couldn’t have happened in the 60’s, when the Canada Health Act began. Fluoridated water was the new Big Thing, and politicians were led to believe this would put cavities and dentists out of business in no time.

  4. What Senior or disabled person on a fixed income can afford a post, core and crown on their free root canal? This is useless. You lose your root canal tooth without a crown. But the taxpayer still pays for the failed root canal, and the patient loses their tooth. It’s a lose-lose proposition. Poorly conceived, a joke, really.

  5. This will save millions once it’s applied to all poor Canadians. Right now an emergency room visit for dental issues costs about $600. per visit. Imagine the money that will be saved when people are able to get preventative and timely dental care, instead of showing up at Emerg. at 1 am for a painful abscess.
