  1. Viewers want a calm, wisened, older man to deliver their news. He is seen as more worldly, experienced and capable to read them their news. A woman on the other hand is seen as too emotional, flighty, subject to the spin of a story, and not too solid. The problem here is really the difference in the sexes, not grey hair.
