But Kharkiv was lightly defended.

No. It is not a failed state. NATO/EU tried to destroy Russia in 2022 but failed.
2
Not viable because Ukraine is totally dependent on NATO/EU supports. Without "positive military results", their supports would dry up.
2
You got it wrong. Putin wanted to get along with the west, even shown interest in joining NATO. But they refused to consider the notion because its Russia. Later, the west expelled Russia from G8. Now, its G7. Then the west tricked Ukraine into provoking Russia, by welcoming it to join NATO and to place nuclear weapons inside Ukraine ( Remember Cuba crisis ? ). Putin had no choice but to ally with President Xi since Russia was ostracised and rejected from Europe.

To negotiate for peace.

Don't overdo it. The soldiers morale might be sunk rock bottom and many countries might just give up on Ukraine.
1
@eeeertoo2597 Russia withdrew to the other side of the river from Kherson, while Kharkiv was too lightly defended for Ukraine to claim major victory.
1
@eeeertoo2597 Yes, at Kherson. Ukrainian forces only fully occupied the other side of the river, one week after Russia withdrew for fear of traps.
1
@eeeertoo2597 That is the reason its being called the meat grinder for both Ukraine and Russia. As for Kherson, one could either say the Ukraine commanders were cautious on one hand or lacked confidence on the other.
1
Unfortunately, morale cannot be quantified. What if the Russian conscripts morale are not bottom poor, and the Ukrainians come at tnem like stray dogs ?
1
How could he ? He's pro-Ukraine. No Ukraine negative news.
1
The West would get their money back, by hook or by crook. If Ukraine "unable" to repay its debts, the West could confiscate personel assets and foreign reserve.
1
Stop whining. USA instigated Ukraine into provoking Russia for the invasion. The least that the American could do is to pay the bills.
1
@БогданБеркут I doubt so since Europe had rejected and ostracised Russia. But Russia still got Asia, Africa and Latin South America supports.
1
Its a lot easier for NATO/EU to send troops into Ukraine to repel Russia from the four regions and Crimea.
1
Perhaps its one of the thousands retrenched Disney employees that "sold" the Disney IP to Russia ? Too much confidential "dirty" documents had been leaked out.
1
No need since USA has never paid for its crimes against American Natives, or other countries that it had regime changed and invaded for the past 50 years.
1
I'm not sure Ukraine would break Russia defensive lines in the four regions and Crimea, with only one million attackers vs half a million defenders ( not counting weapons and ammo ).
1
Taliban had terrorised and traumatised the US forces that they lacked courage to face the Russian forces.
1
No permission from USA.
1
Time is not on Ukraine side. Ukraine had postphone the offensive from winter to spring and now its summer. Many NATO/EU countries are tired of continous supports to Ukraine.
1
Because NATO/EU is fighting Russia with Ukrainian blood.
1
Happily tired because more inflow of Money.
1
To negotiate for peace.
1
Do not complain since its USA which instigated Ukraine to provoke Russia in the first place, by baiting it with NATO membership and nuclear weapons in Ukraine ( Cuba crisis again except with war ).
1
@БогданБеркут You forgot that Ukraine is also abandoned by two guarantors of its security, USA and Britain. They did not send formal, professional soldiers to help Ukraine repelled Russia in its hours of needs.
1
Rain somemore and Ukraine could postphone the offensive to Autumn.
1
Can't blame him since he is American ( I think ).
