Comments by "Dreamy Cheshire" (@DreamyCheshire-up9rf) on "F-16 Fighter Jets plan in Ukraine" video.
Since the F16 would most likely be stationed on the west-western side of Ukraine, by the time a squadron of them reach the eastern border, they might be intercepted by the Russian planes and S-400. Little chances to "throw" bombs.

From your "plane" dialogue, I recalled a scene from Battlestar Galactica which a human fighting side by side with his "enemy", a cylon robot. Too bad in reality, Ukraine would have too few MIG-29 and F16 in 2024 for any meaningful air "resistance" against Russian planes.

Since Ukraine would be flying old version of F16. The answer is No chance against S400.

6/10/23 ( Friday ) 2.04 pm. Chris Cappy was contradictory and confusing in his representation. On one hand, he praised the technological advances of F16 over MiG 29 and SU 27. Later, he said that those European F16s "donated" were planes that were going to be retired by Denmark and Netherlands, which meant that those "technologies" were been used in 1970's and 1980's. Not so technology advance against Russian planes as he claimed. On one hand, he said that F16 have longer "lifespan". Then he progressed to say it needs intensive maintainance with many qualified ground crews and spare parts that Ukraine lacks. He said F16 could stay longer on air and have longer operational range.....provided the planes are based on "pristine" air bases. That means the Russians just need to bomb any identified Ukraine air bases to make them "dirty" for F16 to operate. With so many "restrictions", how is F16 going to help Ukraine gain air superiority over Russia ? To make it worse, recently Poland, the hard core supporter of Ukraine "sanctioned" Ukraine. Even Biden was powerless to stop USA from cutting all aids to it. F16 would have few chances to fly over Ukraine air space in 2024. With NATO "donations" drying up, Zelensky might be forced to negotiate for peace with Putin. Bad news for him. Good news for Ukrainian men.

Its USA fault for instigating Ukraine into provoking Russia into war. So its only right for Americans to pay with their USD. Meanwhile, Ukrainians pay with their blood.
1
The war would likely end in 2024. F16 would not have much impact.

@BojanPeric-kq9et I was referring to F16 jet. As for the number of old F16 that Ukraine would receive eventually, I doubt it would number in hundreds.
1
You're mistaken. Ukraine would be flying old version of F16. So it would not be BMW. Just hope that it would not be flying F16 A/B against Russian planes.
1
Very few since the US ( Ukraine ) pilots would not be paid.
1
Are they F16V ? If not, they would be shot down by S400 and Russian planes.

"Democracy" at works.
1
The "donated" F16 from Denmark and Netherlands that they are going to retire would most likely be A/B/C/D variants. Not much better than MIG 29 and SU 27.
1
But Ukraine would be using the old version of F16 against Russian planes. Just hope that it's not F16 A/B type.
1
I think he is talking about stationing F16 on the west-western Ukraine, then fly over to do battle on the east or south side of Ukraine.
1
Wrong comparison with Navy vs Air Force. In Nov 2023, Russia already down 2 dozen Ukraine jets and 3 dozen drones.
1
Not so amazing. He had some contradictions in the video.

@zodiacdriver3852 Unless Norway, Denmark, Netherlands and Belgium decommissioned their few hundred F16 in 2024 and handover them, together with missiles, ammo, spare parts and maintenance crews plus experience pilots to Ukraine, Ukraine would not have a boost in air defence.
1
@zodiacdriver3852 Expect surprises ? I already surprised that Biden and USA had cut all aids to Ukraine before Donald Trump even becomes President.
1
Unfortunately, USA would not be paying for the services.
1
No need to be so excited over just 3 planes in Romania, not Ukraine.
1
A Ukrainian piloting F16 C/D or older version of A/B would have difficulty or no chance beating Russian MIG 31.
1
If USA honoured its guaranteed security agreement signed with Ukraine and send a 100,000 formal, professional soldiers to help Ukraine against Russia. The war would be over in 2022. Thus, no need for Ukraine to become a NATO member etc.
1
The Russo-Ukraine war might end in 2024 in favour of Russia. Their training might not help Ukraine much. Perhaps those Ukrainians might find employment in US Air Force ?
1
Thanks for the info. I never thought of EMP factor.
1
Since USA had cut all aids to Ukraine, could some rich guys like Elon Musk sponsor some A10 ?
1
Compare to Nazi Netanyahu intense mass bombing of Gaza Strip, Tzar Putin not yet escalated to the max.
