This could've ended years ago when Bush was still president after the Taliban had offered the Americans Bin Ladin but Bush and Cheney refused to prolong the war into 20 years with continued corporate interests in the wars. This is the inevitable effect of Republican corruption. Trump only made a deal to withdraw the troops. Biden executed the plan that was inevitably going to fail any way because the Taliban is all about enforcing Islamic Law and they dispise western democracy, so it wouldn't make a difference any way before or later, Biden or Trump, strategic or complete withdraw.

I served in Iraq and I remembered how Halliburton, ran by Cheney, was raking in billions upon billions of dollars.
