  2.  @freedomfighter22222  The question remains unanswered. What people SAY they will do and what they actually will do may well be two entirely different things. I think it entirely possible that should that strike occur, then the West will fold in a moment and beg for peace. What is more to the point, I believe it entirely possible that Putin thinks so too.

  3. Like much of Russia's strategy the move on Kharkiv seems multi-layered. At the very least they are drawing Ukrainian forces away from the southern front, where the real war is taking place. If they do take the city (and this is not impossible) it will expose Ukraine's corruption and weakness, as well as the fact that many Ukrainians of Russian descent resent the Kiev regime.
