@davidwright5094 The West broke the last treaty, the Minsk Accords, and Russia has a very good record of trying to keep within the boundaries of treaties, even when it becomes clear that they have been expertly tailored to serve Western interests.

@andrewthornber7783 There really isn't a great deal of difference between the two countries. Both are oligarchies and riddled with corruption. Ukraine has allegedly gone further down the road to democracy, but the fact that an oligarch managed to make a comic actor President isn't all that heartening.

@davidwright5094 The last treaty was the Minsk Treaty which Ukraine broke and instead of paving the way to make Donbass autonomous used the time to build up its army( with billions of dollars of help from the US and NATO). Nobody is quite as good at making treaties which suit their purposes than the Americans. They used them to commit genocide in their own country and they are still using them today to fool innocent politicians from other countries.

@davidwright5094 One has to very careful how one puts things on YouTube. The new fascist algorithm deletes anything which smells of heresy. I think America learned the art of drawing up treaties back in the 19th century when they were used to help commit genocide against the native population. The same techniques have served well in the 20th and 21st centuries when one tribe is cleverly set against another; treaties with little bombshells in the small print are drawn up, and when the treaties fail the cavalry arrives to clear the land for the US to start mining or planting crops.

@davidwright5094 Are you suggesting that American lawyers don't know how to draw up a decent treaty. One that doesn't have inbuilt failure mechanisms so you can bring in the cavalry? Sitting Bull and various other leaders of the destroyed original population of America could have told you differently. It's an art form, for goodness sake!
