Ever heard of the Alley of Angels? It's a memorial in Donetsk to the hundred of Donbass children killed by Ukrainian air strikes in the eight years leading up to the present stage of the conflict.

@uncleanunicorn4571 Of course it was. This war started in 2014 when Donbass attempted to cede from Ukraine. Over 14 thousand people were killed before Russia even invaded.

@131Bandit Whatever the numbers involved it was.many more than a few and included most of the police force and units of the Ukrainian army stationed there. They went over with their weapons as did their counterparts in Crimea Russia obviously had a major part in organising the rebellions, but there is no doubt that the ethnic Russian populations of both areas had built up considerable resentment at their treatment by the nationalists in Kiev.
