It can. You just have to convict him of something serious first. Such a bribery or starting wars for profit.

@SoarWithSimon What if the conviction is clearly politically motivated and highly suspect? Does that count?

@degaussingatmosphericcharg575 You prove that Trump has done wrong first.
4
@BohemianRaichu A fixed election result, so doesn't count.

@degaussingatmosphericcharg575 Prove that Trump has committed a crime then - and do it on your own without a gang of highly-paid crooked lawyers to help you.

3TNT3 I bet you're really, really dim, ain'tcha?

@rhondahartung5253 It doesn't matter. Trump is in court because he is who he is - not because of what he may or may not have done. (And what he has alleged to have done seems to be no more than a little creative accounting, which hurt no-one.)

@glencro2331 It's still a stitch-up. That must be obvious to anyone. The law is being manipulated for political ends - and that is not right and very, very dangerous.
1
@Me97202 Of course it's politically motivated!! The matter wouldn't even have been investigated if Trump's enemies hadn't spent years turning over every stone they could find in their bid to discredit him. It's utterly shameful.

@nosuchthing8 Not the same thing at all - just matters related to the same thing. He tried to cover it up , plus he lied to congress about other things. He was the fall guy, and he fell. End of.

@TheTerrainWizard If only more people realised this!

@alansbinnie1446 But what he might be guilty of doesn't seem such a big deal.

He will not be allowed to win. The crooks who rule America from behind closed doors will see to that.
1
@CaptainCologne Compared to what the CIA get up to every day that's negligible.
1
@CaptainCologne He might well do so. It's a question though of balancing human frailties against the cynical abuse of power which has characterised American governance for so long.
