I sympathise with your confusion. It is never pleasant to see one's fondest imaginings undermined. It is, in fact, is far from nonsensical that this man was recruited by Ukraine for the task. It makes a great deal of sense that he would have attracted the interest of the Ukrainian special ops people when he was over there. He is an ideal candidate for a mission of this sort. There can be no doubt that there is considerable collusion between the US intelligence services and their opposite numbers in Kiev. They have a mutual interest in getting rid of Trump, in much the same way as the FBI and the Mafia had a mutual interest in getting rid of Kennedy. I doubt we will ever find the truth, however. This man has a very short life expectancy. An Epstein-style "suicide" or a Jack Ruby style murder can be expected I fear.
