Only a question of time. I have a wonderful vision of a new two-party system with Farage heading one group and Tommy Robinson the other.

Intelligent Labour party members (and I suppose there must be one or two) must already realise that if they allow Starmer to bumble along in his jackboots for much longer their party will be utterly destroyed at the next election. The only hope of survival is finding a replacement as quickly as possible. Sadly though, there appear to be no obvious contenders as yet.

@msimms-lp5qw Why not? It's the way the world is going. Socialism has failed and people want new answers. The whole left/right thing is getting a bit outdated anyway. A new image is needed, not one taken from which side of a tennis court French revolutionists sat at the end of the 18th century.

@msimms-lp5qw As a former socialist myself I think I can safely say that whatever it is the Labour Party is currently peddling, it certainly isn't socialism!

@msimms-lp5qw Its not so much watered-down as totally different. Early socialists simply would not recognise anything the Labour Party now says and does as having anything to do with them.
